More Facts About Me

I rowed competitively in high school and college, took 25+ years off, then picked it up again and learned how to scull in 2020. In college, we rowed with just one oar each in larger boats (mostly 8s). Scullers row with two oars per person. I’ve rowed in the Head of the Charles Regatta for the last four years in various boats, including a single, a double with a Para rower, and a double with each of my daughters in the Parent/Child event.

Sometimes it’s hard to get a family photo of my own family, but it’s always fun when we make time for a family photo session!

My winter activity is Nordic skiing. After photographing my kids racing in the local leagues, I decided to try racing myself. I’ve cross-country skied recreationally since I was a child and enjoy the challenge of trying to be fast without falling over. The fresh air is exhilarating, and I love learning a new sport (getting stronger, learning how to balance, and trying to be fast). It’s exciting and makes winter so much fun. Bring on the snow!

My Signature Style

Natural Expressions

I’m known for working with people to help them feel comfortable and to capture their natural and relaxed expressions. It’s so much fun to talk with people, help them feel comfortable, and to have fun while photographing them.

Comfortable Sessions

Many people don’t hang out in front of cameras every day, so it sometimes takes a bit of time to get warmed up. I love to help people feel comfortable and welcome in front of my lens.

Beautiful Portraits

When you have gorgeous lighting (with studio lights, the sun, or some combination of both), natural posing, and when you feel comfortable in front of the lens, you’re going to get great images. That’s my specialty, and I can’t wait to help you get portraits you will love!
