Outdoor Portrait Locations in Concord

Old North Bridge, Concord

The North Bridge spans the Concord River in the Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, MA. It is a restoration of the original bridge that, in 1775, was the site of the beginning of the Revolutionary War. It’s a beautiful bridge with monuments on each side and has many viewpoints and beautiful places nearby to be photographed.

Minuteman National Historical Park

The Minuteman National Historical Park is located in Concord and Lexington, MA. The Old North Bridge is part of the park, but there are many other scenic areas within the park where we photograph. From the Buttrick House and grounds near the North Bridge to the walkways closer to Lexington, there are many good options for photos here.

A local pond

Concord is best known for Walden Pond, which is a lovely place to visit. Made famous by Henry David Thoreau’s Walden, there are walking paths and secluded areas around the pond. It does get quite crowded, though, so if you’d like a pond setting with fewer people, I can recommend several other ponds that are a short walking distance from convenient parking areas in Concord. These ponds boast quiet overlooks in wooded pine forests, small beaches, and lovely coves.

Conservation Land

One of the joys of Concord is discovering new areas to explore conservation land. There is conservation land near my portrait studio, where I often bring clients to explore the wooded paths, open meadows, and stone walls. Other conservation areas around town offer open fields, walking paths, views of ponds, forests with dappled light, and little bog bridges over streams near meadows.

My Portrait Garden

My portrait garden has a bounty of portrait backgrounds. Depending upon the time of day and where the light is, we can work in a shaded woodland garden, a mossy path near a rhododendron garden, a lush pond with irises bending toward the water, and so much more.

Your Home

Your home is always an option for your portraits. Home is where you are most comfortable, and we can easily find spots that would be great for photos. We can photograph on a covered porch, in your living room, or anywhere you’d like.

Stable, Rink, or Boathouse

Wherever you practice your sport or enjoy your hobby is a great place to be photographed. High school seniors often want to be photographed where they spend their time, so consider including this in your plans.
