Grand Canyon

These images were taken during a two week river rafting trip down the Colorado River. We pulled the rafts onto beaches where we set up camp each night. We hiked into the side-canyons (often climbing several hundred feet or more) to see narrow canyon passageways and hidden waterfalls, and we learned about the region’s geologic history as we descended through the many layers of sedimentary rock that make up the canyon walls. The trip was amazing and awe-inspiring.
