Nordic Skiing, Rowing, Volleyball, Soccer, Squash, Swimming, Ballet, and more….

Through the years, I’ve enjoyed photographing many of my favorite sports and all of my kids’ athletic pursuits, from Kindergarten soccer to Boston Ballet classes and high school and collegiate rowing and skiing races.

At the 1992 Olympic rowing trials, I qualified for – but did not make – the Olympic team (it’s a long story involving politics, drama, and disappointment). Now, thirty years after I stopped competing at the elite level, I’ve taken up rowing again (this time, in sculling boats) and am learning how to race on Nordic skis. It’s so much fun learning a new sport and figuring out how to go fast.

I understand the dedication and passion these athletes put into their sports and love to capture them striving to be their best. Enjoy these photos!
