Travel

From hiking through an African game preserve to river-rafting through the Grand Canyon and hut-to-hut hiking the Haute Route in Switzerland, I have been fortunate to go on some epic wilderness adventures. I’ve captured each trip with various cameras and am happy to share the images with you.

I hope you enjoy the photos!

100-mile walking safari, Kenyan Game Preserve

Ten days of hiking across the Tsavo game preserve, protected by guides carrying rifles and spears. We used knowledge of animal behavior to coexist with the animals as we walked on game paths. Some of our many sightings included lions, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and more.

Colorado River,
Grand Canyon

A two week river-rafting photo journey through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River.

Haute Route,
Switzerland

Ten days of hiking hut-to-hut in the Swiss high mountain range. We hiked in July, so there was no need for serious winter mountaineering equipment, although we brought ice axes to cross some glaciers for part of the trip.

Desert Backpacking, Southeastern Utah

A week of backpacking in the southeastern desert was a new experience for me. Dry heat, filtered water, strange lizards and scorpions, and incredible views and adventures.
